Flying Saucer wins ‘National Diploma’ at Cannes 2010
Our film ‘Blues’ won a ‘Cannes National Diploma’ 2010 for Direction in ‘Film Craft’. It’s a big recognition for us that too in a category that is heavily contested with winning entries from all over the world. The Blues LJ collective was a special project. Written by Sandipan Bhattacharya from BBDO Delhi it celebrates life and it’s twists. Shot in a slum with the cast of a ‘spot boy’- Ashok for the main lead and the lady of the house and her own child for the other cast members, the spot has an extreme look of reality. Manoj Lobo the DOP has done a sublime job of lighting this spot using mainly one bulb and 2 tube lights. This film was directed by Pushpendra.
